In the ancient past, crystals have been used as talismans and amulet to all walks of life.
- In Egypt, besides gold and silvers, precious stones were used for amulets and talismans because they are considered to be the flesh of the gods themselvs. Incidentally, in the tomb of Tutankhamun, scientists discovered precious stones like carnelian, lapis lazuli ,turquoise on amulets like the Eye of Horus and the Scarab beetle.
